Koralia propeller pump
Anyone have experiences with the Koralia propeller pump? I picked one up new for $85.

All the koralias are propeller pumps, they are great and efficient. Unless you get the wave maker models though you cannot use them on a wavemaker, well you can but the larger models clack alot on start up.
Which one did you get?

I have been using Koralia pumps since they came out a few years ago. All sizes including the Magnum UL series new ones. Every one of them has been connected to a wavemaker. I have probably around 14 of them and have had only one failure. One of my #4's died after about 3 years.
Only the number 4's rattle noticeably at start-up. Its not a big deal. Not like the Maxijet mod did! The Magnum UL 8 that I have is totally quite. Very impressive water flow and its not much bigger than the #4. 3200 GPH and only 18 Watts, Ya Baby! |

Really? You don't think the 8 is that big? I have all Koralias in my 180 and the 6 looks ridiculously big compared to the others

Only use the 5 -8 pumps with a controller.
The nano - 4 will make lots of noise when used with a controller and it will shorten the life of the pumps. |

And here I thought I was all cool with a 3 in my 150g..
I've got a knockoff from a company called phoenix pumps coming in the mail. We'll see how it works for less than HALF the price of a similar sized koralia. |

I think the 5-8 magnum models are all the same size. I know they all come in the exact same sized box
