Power going to be shutoff for 3 hours tomorrow
Just got home to find a notice from the power company stating that our power will be periodically interrupted between 10 AM and 1 PM tomorrow.
I won't have time to go out and get a UPS tonight to run at least one of the Koralia 4's and the 250w Heater. What are the chances that our livestock will be adversely affected? We have a Mandarin, Royal Gramma, Foxface, two Tomato Clowns in a Green Bubble Tip Anemone, and the snails. No coral.

Wow, I thought that would be too many fish for my 30 gallon.

Aeration-wise, I think both your 92 and 10g should be OK.
Temperature-wise, it depends. Not sure what the weather is up there in Winnipeg, but as long as your house temps stay in the upper-70s, I think at least your 92g will be fine for 3 hours. I've shut-off power to my 90g for 5 hours to redo my aquascape before, the temps only dropped to 76 (down 2 degrees), and that's with a house temp of 72. The 10g, though, would be a different story. With that small a water volume, the temperature will change much quicker than the 92g, but it depends on what your house temp is. |

The livestock I mentioned is in the 92. In the 10 we have a very small watchman goby and a very small pajama cardinal plus some zoas and star polyps.
It's not too hot here yet (we haven't had to run the AC yet this year) and the forecast for tomorrow isn't too cold so we should be good.

if all of those fish are in your 10 gallon tank..then think you will have a very high risk of problems..specially if there is an issue and the power goes out for more time than expected..

You can go to wal-mart or another similar store and see if they have any battery powered air pumps. You can find them in the fishing aisle sometime. They are used in live wells to keep bait and fish alive.
