Guess I should add that we also feed Sprilina Brine daily and Red Marine algae on a clip.

Does the reef plankton need to be refrigerated? I'm weary of any plantkonic product that doesn't need to be refrigerated, as the refrigeration keeps plankton alive longer, or at least long enough to be used by the aquarist while it's alive. Once the plankton dies, you're just adding additional nitrate/ammonia and phosphate to your tank.

I would dose small ammounts each day, and gauge it's impact on your filtration system by testing your nitrates and phosphates and by the amount of algae growth you get on your front glass over a period of time. I can see when I'm overfeeding within 24 hours by the excess algae growth on my front glass. If I don't overfeed, I can go for a week without cleaning the front glass, and nothing grows on it. If I do overfeed, I'll get green haze within 24-48 hours, even with normal filtration going.

This is a frozen plankton, San Francisco Bay Brand, I am judging the over feeding due to Cyano build up.

What does everyone recommend for plankton food?
