Filter Socks

So, I didn't have a proper filter sock... but when I asked about one at one of the crappy LFS stores near by, they suggested a media bag. Not knowing the difference, I used it. I made up a hanger for it, and it seems to work pretty good. Well, I went to a NEW store that just opened up, and he has the proper socks... WOW, they are VERY different. When I clean out my current one, its got all kinds of crap in it... including some pods. Will this new one filter out TOO much stuff? What about the pods, I don't want them in there, how do I prevent that?

(still can't catch the damsels)

Dont think it will filter out too much stuff, but, the pods.... From what I have read, it just comes with the teritory. Just have to flip the sock inside out and pick them out. Dont forget to get two so you can have a new one in there while digging out all the pods from the old one.

I just switch my old one and then go outside and hose it down and flip it inside out and do it again. Just buy another one every other month so you have to do less cleaning.
