white spots on fish tank

I have white spots on the back wall of my fish tank it is an aquapod so the background is black. they are hard dots. about 3 days ago i got some pyramid snails but i don't think they are eggs or anything sorry i don't have a pic yet but they are hard little specs like pieces of sand. does anybody have an idea of what it may be? they don't move or anything. and i just added sand to the sandbed to help reduce nitrates. i have no idea what they are. the fish don't have any spots on them so i don't think its ich.

I think maybe they are called foraminifera. They are normal. They sort of look like really tiny barnacles? You'll end up with them all over the place eventually.

I believe that it's the start of coralline algae. I have them in my DT and fuges. They are hard like a calcareous material.

Don't think that's what I and aqua_reef_01 have. Mine are hard calcium deposits that you have to scrape off which is why I said I thought they were the start of coralline algae. They're certainly not worms.
