The website admin needs to be outsourced, they have been "working" on an "upgrade" for like 4 months.

They have stated many times that it is going slower than planned due to the programming that needed done.

I am sure that they could have done what most sites do and turn on the new and just delete the old version along with everything on it. I dont want that. Does anyone else?

Think of how many helpful threads we would lose. I for one can use the patience this hobby teaches and wait. I believe it will be a good outcome.

Let them know where to send the bill

Honestly, it's a major undertaking and not something that happens overnight.

Thats the key, there are years of information that we do not want to lose in the process.

The admins have lives, families, jobs. They work on the upgrade when they can, and voluntarily I might add. They are NOT paid to do this.

+1 to that, they do this to help the hobby and because they want to not because they have to. If you want them to outsource the site then be prepared to HAVE TO pay a fee to join Reef Central. It stays free because everyone volunteers their time. Does it suck to wait, yes, but in a hobby based on patience maybe they are waiting for the new site to 'cycle'

The admins have been investigating vodka dosing recently, to see if it speeds up the cycling process for installing new content management software to run the magazine.

Sadly, the admins have not been heard from since the experiment started.

Are they using the vodka on the system.......... or themselves?????
Maybe that is what happened April (lawn gnome day) 1st. As used to be said. "Patience is golden" especially in reefin.
