GFCI and surge protectors. A mixing barrel for water changes. A QT for new additions. And the list goes on...

well we all have our different methods, i add the mixed up salt water to the tank and leave for 24 hours with all powerheads and the heater on, then the next day when the water is crystal clear and most of the tiny air bubbles which stick to the sides of the tank are gone i shut down the phs and remove some water, i then add the rock into the aquascape i prefer and then add back in any water to make up the level, switch all phs on again and leave for a day or 2 until im totally happy with the final rock layout look. if and when im 100% happy i shut the phs off again and slowly add 1" of sand around the rocks to cover the bare glass base, then switch on the phs and after a day or so use a turkey baster to blow any sand off the rocks and its done.
