SCH 80 Cement
Can you use SCH 40 cement on SCH 80 pvc?

I have without issue.....I am not recommending either way. Simply stating that I have and nothing leaked. I used it on 2 1.5 inch pipes to 90 degree elbows and also on a one inch pipe going into a T

The "schedule" denotes physical dimensions of the plumbing, not characteristics of the material. Cements, primers, cleaners, etc. don't care which schedule the parts are.

That makes me feel better. I think the SCH 80 cement is rated for higher pressures i just wanted to make sure that SCH 40 cement would bond and seal SCH 80 pvc
