40 Gallon lighting???
Hi, I'm looking at a light setup for my 40 gallon. I was looking at doing a 400 watt 14k metal halide, a 40 watt 50/50, a 65 watt actinic, and a 65 watt 50/50. Does that sound like a good setup or overkill? any help appreciated, thanks.

I found that on my new 40 (36X20X18) that one MH was not getting all the sides, so I did a 2X150 with 4XT5 39W. so far I am very happy with the lighting and the temps are not that bad.

40s are 36x18x16. haven't done the math, but yours is bigger than 40
I have 2x150w MH and 2x38w T5 on mine and like it a lot - keeping BTAs with it
