Playing witih my camera
I recently started playing with the settings on my Canon Digital Rebel XT which I know is much more powerful than my present skills. What do you all think of these.
They were taken in RAW format and adjusted in photoshop (WB LEVEL), Then converted to .jpg Any tips, pointers, etc?

Looks like you are on the right path.
I would defintiely read on how your camera does its white balance adjustments. I use a Nikon and took lots of blue pics. Once the wb was adjusted my pics had more real tones. Also check out your macro ability. Always remember that you can shoot in manuel mode so that you can adjust your aperture or your f-stop. Being able to adjust helps you to understand how light hits the lense and how the camera records what you see. Sometimes I play around on purpose by darkening a shot or making it lighter just to see if the camera catches something better than what I am seeing. Good luck! js
