Icecap 430's

Any idea why a 430 can only run 2 T5's but up to 4 VHO's? To me it shouldnt matter as long as max voltage isnt exceeded, but im not an engineer

depends on the specs of the diff types of bulbs, probably more to do with amperage draw but i would have to look up the specs to be sure

not a lot on the icecap forum. looks like i can get 60 inch T5 bulbs. I bet they would look okay over a 72 inch tank? Apparently i would get more light than with two 72" vhos and keep heat lower. I wish everyone made 60" T5 bulbs. The 430 should drive the 60 inchers too according to the specs. Any input?

430 will drive 2 x 60" bulbs at near spec. A 660 will drive 3 x 60" bulbs @ ~ 100W each.
