I would not trust that guy to "help" me with anything. Even eggcrate.

I can't imagine why the 3 large groupers he caught didn't survive in his 30 gal. They total fit.

my buddy had some minnows in a 5gal bucket on patio for over a week. it rained, but they were in shade the whole time with no problem.

so tell him they live fine in a 5gal bucket on the porch

Use it for african cichlids, they can live in it just fine.

Yup. Being a cabinet maker I have people every now and then want to show me the kitchen "they built themselves"--- most of the time, when I answer their questions "well how does this look!?" I can only give a half-answer.

"Yeah, man, that looks great (from the highway)".

Or the ever-true "Man that looks good (enough for government work)"

Man. And I've been buying all that high dollar custom mix salt from Get Tanked. Think of all the freshwater wrasses I could have bought with the savings!

I sure hope these fresh water acros like Oyster Feast.

I once had a HD "plant specialist" ask me if Ladybugs were plants. None of the three "specialists" knew what mealybugs were either.

This surprises me not.

I was buying PVC glue, and fittings from the hardware store 1 time and the guy asked what it was for. So I told him a SW tank. He then says oh, those fittings won't work for a fishtank. I said, I think i'll be OK. After that the guy started being a huge jerk for some reason, insisting the fittings were not going to work. So I finally said fine I'll go some where else.

What's sad is I heard the guy at my LFS tell a lady that any sea salt would work on her brand new tank. that she had just bought a fish for. **sigh*
