Will an omnivorve kill fish if hungry?

I have just lost another fire fish and noticed before I got it out of the tank that my half black angel was picking at it's body. I was worried about overfeeding......now I'm rethinking. Will appreciate any input on this.

It's hard to tell if the angle killed the fire fish, but an omnivore by definition will eat meat. As such, it seems reasonable to me that it would kill.

However, fish will want to eat all day long. You may not be underfeeding at all. Your fire fish may have simply looked at the angle cross-eyed... whoops. Angels are known to be slightly aggressive.

This is the 3rd fire fish loss....I am discouraged. They had all been eating and doing fine. Lost a good few chromis too....but think that is more to be expected. I have seen the angel be agressive but only to a bi- color damsel. Nevered bothered the fire fish
( not while I was watching anyway) Advise?
