cheato dieing off

Good day folks, I have come across an interesting issue. my cheato in my sump is dieing off and I dont know why. My Parameters are all in order. My cheato is under normal fluorescence 24/7 . Never had this problem before. My SPS corals seem unaffected. any ideas would be helpful.

I dose iron when mine stops growing. but I have never had it try to die.

it's lost half its volume over the last two weeks. its very strange, not sure what to do.
