Uv ???

Is a UV light needed in a mostly live coral and live rock tank or is it over kill ? Thanks in advance , newbie here.

If you don't have any fish then you don't need a UV filter.

One possible use for a UV if you have no fish is if you are dealing with "green water" to help kill the suspended algae.
