I don't know how rare they are, just never seen any pics of them this big eating pellets.
I think most die or are eaten rather quickly. |

My dad got jealous because he didnt have any of that type of pod. He made me catch a dozen and dump them in his tank. Now he has zillions. They do a good job of cleaning up the tank.

I got some that big. They can actually make their way against the flow in my sump climbing up the silicone.
I also think my fish hear them bouncing off the walls of my return tubing because even before they pop into the display the fish are looking at the nozzles. I was sort of concerned when they arrived thinking I ordered or the guy I bought them from sent me the wrong thing. |
