chaeto lighting ?

is a 25w 6500k daylight bulb good enough to grow chaeto?

i would say it is good enough. i use a 75w 6500k daylight bulb though. im not sure if the wattage is very important. i think its more of the k rating that determines how well it grows

someone suggested 5100k, over the 6500k. anyone have done any research on this? which k rating is better?

Don't see why not.
I use a 5100 k bulb myself.

I'm using 18W 6500K for mine, they do ok

Anything in the daylight range of 5000-7000 K will do. I use normal output daylight fluorescent.
