Post How do u people keep your sand so clean?

Hey guys!
I have seen in some people's pics that their sand is super clean.
How do u keep it that way?

If you have a sand bed under 3" you can simply stir it up or get a fish that will do it for you. Don't stir if you have a deep sand bed over 6" though.

Otherwise, you can keep your SB clean by running reactors, or bacterial dosing, or skimming heavy. The key is to get rid of NO3 and PO4 so the algae doesn't have a chance to grow on the sand.

Minimal to zero Nitrate and Phosphate. My pair of orange spotted sand-sifting gobies take care of the rest and keep the sand sparkling white.

A pair of cucumbers will keep it nice and white. They grab the dirty sand grains one at a time, digest the grime and algae off then it comes out clean at the other end.

I had a ton of worms in my DSB. Nothing ever got by them. The ground would literally move when I fed my fish.

Lots of spagetti and bristle worms, nassrious & cerith snails, and current. I had a goby once but I was afraid he was eating all my worms so he got moved.
