Minimum tank size?
I was thinking of getting a 45 gallon tech tank, but I decided just to stick with my 29 gallon bio cube. I wanted to know if I could add a six line wrasse to it.
The fish would be a pair of ocellaris clowns, and maybe a bangaii cardinal fish, or a fire fish. As long as reef central says its ok. So it would be a total of 3-4 fish. Thanks. Lou. |

Provided you have the rite filtration I see no problem with it....ie: good skimmer....or faithfully do water changes it should be no problem...

The smaller the tank, the more difficult it is to maintain, so if you ask me I would say the minimum would be 180 gallons with a 60 sump, .

180 is cuttin it thin, Id go at least a 1000, with a 1000g sump and maybe another 3,000 in a closed tank.

if you have anything less than a 10,000 gallon backyard oceanarium, you won't be able to keep anything larger than a firefish or MAYBE two with 50% waterchanges every other day.

I think you could keep those fish bioload wise, but depending on the individual, once mature, the sixline may harass your firefish.

i had a sixline in a 14 gal with only a b&w clown. he harassed the clown all day, granted the clown kicked his butt, but he still harassed. plus firefish are docile anyways so the 6line might badger him..
i love my 6line, he's great, in my 90.....
