Buillding Tank Help

How does the input back into the tank from the sump work?

Normally the flow back in comes out the same place the water spills into the overflow correct? Instead of doing that could i drill two holes in the back of my tank and just attach two flow accelerators to them? Then run those straight to my pump?

I dno what to do. This is the next step of my build and i'm clueless.

You have your overflow which brings water from the tank to the sump. The next thing you need is a return pump that sits in the sump to bring that water back to the tank.

Make sure that your return pump is large enough for the overflow, or you wont get water back to the tank fast enought and the sump will overflow.

That part isn't quite true. If you put only 1 gph back into the tank then only 1 gph will run over the overflow. You just don't want to put more water in the tank than the overflow will handle.

As far as drilling new holes in the back for your return, you can do it. Just make sure and have them either come out over the water level or through the tank above the water level. Drill a small hole in the return above the water. That way when the pump is turned off all the water will not siphon back into the sump and flood your floor. Dont rely on a check valve to stop the back flow because it WILL fail a some point in time.
