Question Two ATO's??

There was a thread I saw on here on RC not too long ago where someone had a dual auto top off. One ran directly to the sump. The other ran through a kalk reactor for when his pH got too low. I can't find it now. Does anyone know where it's at?

I'm not sure a kalk reactor would work on a top off unit because you are not trying to fill a reservoir based on the amount of lost water. What you could do is plug a pump into a contoller along with a ph probe and when the ph drops it turns the pump on for a set amount of time and then continues until the ph is at a certain point.

I know for sure you CAN run a kalk reactor on a top off unit. You want your kalk made with RO/DI, not salt water. Kalk is added with fresh water top off. This guy I'm talking about had a dual set up where the part with the kalk was only added when the ph was down. I just need to read more about his set up and see the pictures.

I'm still looking. Has anyone seen the thread I'm talking about?
