ATO Kalk Reactor, where to add to sump?

HI all,

i have my ato being pumped by a litermeter to the kalk reactor to the sump....

it has done wonders for my ph.... very pleased..

where should i be adding to the sump...

my sump is 3 chambers

first tank water comes in to filter socks...skimmer alpha 200 is in this chamber...

2nd chamber is refugium

3rd is pump return to tank and float switches...

i originally thought the 3rd with the return pumps but my concern is the float switches with large amounts of kalk water........ the float switches are not optical... and control the ato ....

thoughts?

Even if you put the ATO kalk discharge in another section of the sump, it will still end up in the return section. That's the whole idea. That way you can get it back to your display and help your entire system. I think you would be fine whatever section you put it in. I personally like it in the return section. If you are worried about the kalk stopping up your float switches, don't. You should be taking them out once in a while for cleaning anyway.

Return section. This way there is less ca depositing on the skimmer impeller, but you may still have it on the return impeller depending on some other factors.
