How often you changed your calcium reactor media.
Like the title said. Also what kind of media you recommend and where to get it.

I don't change out media, that isn't necessary. Rinse, reuse, add.
When the media starts to get low (50-75% of starting amount), I break down the reactor. The reactor body itself is cleaned (likely some algae growth inside if it's anywhere but a dark cabinet). The old media is rinsed (if using larger grain, the "pond baskets" at many LFS or online work great). I put large grain GenX or ARM in the bottom, followed by smaller grain if necessary, followed by Dolomite/Zoemag on top.
