How long will take to re-cure the live rock?
How long will take to cure the died live rock which was alive before? I will find some 'seed' rocks for sure.
because I am moving to another state, the rocks are so hard to keep alive. I am thinking to dry them out and recure them after I settle down two month later. How long and how to recure the died live rock? Thanks |

depends on how much dead/decaying stuff was left on them when they were dried out, but to be safe I'd give it at least 3-4 weeks. You'll know for sure when you don't get any ammonia or nitrite when you test.

3-4 weeks is not bad at all. The dead rock will be hosed before re-curing them. I will assume not many dead stuff will stay in there.
To recure the rock, can I 'cook' the rock to get rid of the dead stuff and the phosphate leached in the rock? |
