High pH-need it lowered.

I have a friend who just tested his tank and the pH read 8.8 based on an API test kit. He dosed calcium over the previous two weeks based on the directions on the back of the container.

All other levels read fine except salinity which is just a tad too low but is currently being raised.

How can he go about lowering his pH level?

Thanks
