BB tank question

Hi just wanted to ask is it harder to maintain Alkalinity and magnesium
in a BB tank. I just down graded from a 100gl to a 75gl with the new tank i went BB i just transferred the rock,corals and fish over. Its been up for 3 weeks now but my alk is reading 6.1 dkh and my mag is 1080. I am also using Coralife salt thx

no problem holding levels on my BB but I'm running a Ca reactor

Might want to check your levels of the SW you make up for the water change, depending on brand, could be salt mix is low and needs supplementing. I use IO and need to bring up the CA and Mg (alk ok) before adding to tank.

Yeah, CA reactor keeps it going. I wouldn't use Coralife for reefing, check other brands for parameters.
