Water change pump?

I have a small problem when doing water changes. I attempted to do my first water change on the tank and I was using a small topfin pump I got at petsmart to try and get the water from the bucket up and into the tank. It is a 150gph pump.Well the pump couldn't even get the water into the tank, its too weak to pump it straight up into the tank. Can someone recommend me an inexpensive pump powerful enough for a water change? I need something I can go out and get tonight so I can complete this. I am looking to spend around $35-$45 on one.
