I do the two point calibration ro di first then randy's fluid with I make very accurately, it tends to show that ro is not a good way of calibrating.

Initially I used distilled water per the instructions on my refractometer. But after hearing on these boards that I should've used calibration fluid, so I bought some and recalibrated...it wasn't too far off.

I make a DIY calibration fluid, and also use RO/DI. Never seen a false reading using RO/DI after using the calibration fluid...
