Aiptasia?

I have to huge pieces that I recently discovered in my tank that were hidden under some rocks. About two three inches each. What are the benefits of aiptasia in a tank if any which I heard there aren't. And how are they harmful. What is the easiest way to get rid of them. I do have a bubble tip anenome and a few colt corals, two perculas. Anything helps!!

Thanks

Can you take out the pieces of rock they're on? If so, I would do that and burn them with a torch lighter lol.

I have found that injecting them with a small amount if vinigar from a hypodermic needle killes them d e d dead. with little to no affect on rest of tank. by small amount I mean 1/10 of a ml just stab and inject.
Aptasia reproduce rapidly in most aquria and they can harm some corals this is why they are feared pest.

Inject with kalk (thick) into the mouth. Peppermint shrimp. I have even used super glue or epoxy to en-tomb them.

Though people have success with all of the above methods, if it is at all possible for you to just remove the rocks and bake them in the oven and recure them I would do that. This way you KNOW you killed them and they will not spread. Yes you kill some beneficial stuff on your rocks, but once they are gone with this method, they are gone for good unless they get reintroduced with new liverock/coral frags or there are other hiders in the tank someplace.
