Percula Clownfish Question
I read in a thread this morning of someone mentioning that you should add just 1 clownfish at a time for territorial reasons.
We are wanting to add 2 clownfish (preferably male and female) and probably tank raised (seems like the only difference between tank and true percula clowns is that the tanks are hardier - am I right?) Is it best to add the clowns one at a time or together for a male and female? Also adding another scenario, is it best to add clowns before or after you get a anemone setup in the tank? |

You can add both clowns at the same time, eventually one will become the female while the other stays a male. anemone is not needed, but rather a bonus.

Make sure they are both small, young and not female yet. Many stores offer them already paired up too.
I don't think the anemone before or after really matters. I got mine at the same time as the pair that hosts in it. The other pair still hosts on a powerhead. |

sounds like it's a best bet to get the clowns first, young and get the anemone as a future down the road purchase.
So if we get two, one will eventually become the female....interesting |
