snails getting frisky???

Wife was screaming at me while I was doing homework, "Something in your tank is smoking."

I got all worried and ran out there and here is what it was.

Does this nuke the water?

Shouldn't have any affect on the water. It's too little to make a difference.

I dont know, they were getting it on for like 30 minutes... puffing every 20 seconds or so.
