I have 3 koralia 4's in for service 2 are dead and the other leak's current into the tank. They have had them since Delivery Date / Time: 27-August-2009 / 11:55 AM I have sent a couple of e-mail to this Mike, not sure what position he holds in the company but he's not replying back for some reason or another? my 2 year warranty is up on 9/7 Anyone had any experiences with them? |

I've owned a nano, 2 K2's and 2 K4's. The 4's are the most recent and i've only had them for about 6 months so no problems with them so far. The 2's hum and make some noise, but at least they work. For the money you can't go wrong and I think everyone should have a spare Koralia sitting around for emergencies, but within a few months I will be replacing mine with either Tunze or Vortech. I think its natural to gravitate that route...
Sounds like you've had some real bad luck. Only Koralia that ever totally crapped out on me was the nano. I think they are pretty cheaply made. Then again i'm not complaining, they are also cheaply bought

for the price of 3 of them... I would say get a vortech mp10 or tunze. I had a problem with my vortech mp40w. It was back to me 72 hours later. I paid to overnight to them($20) and they fixed it and sent it back for free. I have heard the same from the tunze owners I know. You get what you pay for. I have a koralia nano in my nano untill I can get an mp10.

koralia's service for me has been top notch. Last weekend I had a rough day servicing my powerheads. I broke the red shaft that connects the powerhead to the magnet, and lost the little black washer that goes down into the impeller on the other.
I emailed looking for replacement parts and I told them it was completely my fault and I'd gladly pay for the parts and shipping to Canada. They replied by saying not to worry and that the replacement parts would be in the mail that same day! Hard to find that level of customer service these days... They should be here next week. contact them via email at hydorusa.office@hydor.com |
