Does carpet cleaning affect an aquarium?

We are having our carpets cleaned by ChemDry this week.... Will the tank be ok, or are there things that need to be done to prevent a crash? Thank you!

I have never had an issue. If you want you could cover the tank with a shhet or blanket while they are doing the actual shampooing.

I've done it before, but I agree to cover the aquarium.

Well, you never know what nasties might be stirred up in the cleaning process, but personally I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think there would be anything that could get into the water column - at least not in a high enough concentration to do anything.
