How far do you drive to your favorite LFS?
I drive almost an hour to my favorite one. There's 4 other stores with in that distance of me.
I heard some people will drive 3 hours to their favorite stores. |

The closest LFS to me is 45 minutes away. I think I know where every decent LFS is within a 4 hour radius (there aren't many) and I stop by whenever my travels place me in the area.

I have been to literally, every LFS that carries salt water in the state of Iowa. Luckily, the best one is relatively close. There's about 4 other decent ones in the state, and a bunch I'd be worried about buying from.

I drive 150 miles to the Twin Cities when I need to, but rely mostly on 2Docs.

I have one pretty good LFS only about 15 minutes away from me which I obviously visit quite often. That and the fact that its literally right across the street from where I work. So I make my money and then go across the street and spend it lol. My other favorite LFS is about an hours drive away and I only go there occasionally. I just went today as a matter of fact.

One of my LFS's just moved their store about 1/4 of a mile from my house. I welcome the gas savings! I must say the furthest for me has been 3 hours but that was on a business trip and I just had to check out the LFS in Tallahassee.

My usual is about 3 miles away. My next choice is about 45 miles. There are a few in between, but I haven't frequented them enough to call them my favorites. OKC has several great LFS's, so you don't have to drive far to find good people.

I visit 3 stores on a regular basis and they are 20 minutes, 50 minutes, and 70 minutes. There are other stores closer but those three are the ones I like

Couple at 1 hour but I drove 3 hours each way the other day to Premium Aquatic in Indy to save on shipping "150 pounds of sand and lights".

Wow....after reading the previous posts, I now realize how spoiled I am living in Los Angeles...LFSs everywhere. Now I won't take it for granted next time I decide to go to one of the many LFSs...

About 40 minutes, it's a decent store, not that big though, and if you don't hit it right they may not have much.

But as jayk198030 mentioned - in NJ I guess we're lucky due to proximity to NY/PA. Within an hr's drive I could get to UniqueCorals/ManhattanAquariums (at MACNA). Within 30 mins I've got Aquatic Obsessions and Ocean Gallery II (at MACNA). I love AqOb as they are a small shop that takes care of their customers and consistently get high quality fish. The leather couch in the store is joked about since it is always occupied by people from my club.
