Overflow height?
Hello guys,
May I know what is the recommended gap between the overflow and the top of the glass? (refering to where the water flows) Is 1" enough? Height of the tank is 18". Thanks! |

1"-1.5" teeth are fine. Linear inches are more important depending on flow rate. Check the calculator on the home page here.

Hey, SaltFreek. Thanks for the quick reply.
So with the calculator, what are the turn over rate? Should I go with x15 or x10? |

I would go 3x-5x your tank volume. You want to give any microbubbles from the skimmer enough time to surface in your sump before reaching your return pump - of course baffles help. Too much flow, and you risk microbubbles in your display - not fun. You can run another 10x-20x GPH using powerheads.
