Missing Wrasse Found 2 days later..

Well, about a week ago I purchased a few more fish for my 180, a radiant wrasse and a yellow coris wrasse were part of that purchase. Both wrasses were doing well and eating then the other day I noticed the radiant was no where to be found. I tried feeding different kinds of food, flake, rods, brine shrimp etc. everyone was out and eating but the radiant which has been usually gregarious was not. So, I searched the entire tank room to see if he'd jumped, the tank mind you is surrounded with eggcrate. Well no dried fish jerky was found. This entire time i had been checking the overflows and filter socks aswell on and off to see if he was in there. Nothing. Then today a full 48hrs later i see him swimming and eating like nothing had happened. Needless to say I was relieved to have him back again. But where was he during the past 2 days?

probably took a sand nap. sometimes if they get spooked they can lay low for a while.

My vote would be for a sand nap also..
When i first got mine he did that for the first week on and off until he was familiar with the tank.
No worries

I would have sworn I lost my new firefish goby this morning. Added him yesterday and by noon still hadn't seen him once. Around 2pm suddenly there he is swimming around like he had been there all day.

Glad you found him though

that's so crazy on how we can lose a fish in our tanks, only for them to pop out a few days later...
