I would do the sunpower if it was a 4-6 question. I am flipping back and forth w/ the PM 6x24 & 6x24 SP.

Go for the Sunpower 6 bulb more options like others mentioned.
I picked up the 6 bulb 54w model for that reason |

I'd get the sunpower regardless on if you decided on 4 or 6 bulbs. The powermodule just does not offer enough extra benefit to justify the price increase, IMHO. I have the 4 bulb 24" sunpower, and even at the lowest fan speed, the fixture is only very slightly warm to the touch. I'm very happy with it!
Also remember that these fixtures are very powerful. Sometimes 4 bulbs is enough, or else you may have problems burning lower light corals. What size is your tank? |

The PMs are worth the extra bucks if looks are very important to you. $200 more for the 6x54 PM vs the 6x54 SP is not much money when you consider the multi-thousands that go into our tanks. They are beautiful and well built fixtures. They also have more fans and more selection. The Sunpowers are great for the performance and very good looks. The rest of the competition is way overpriced or can't compete with the ATI perfomance.

performance wise the power modules and sunpowers are pretty much equal. it comes down to looks. if its going to be in open view i would go with the PM, they look great and are very well built.

If your tank is 70cm by 60cm (28" by 24"), I would definitely go with the 6 bulb for better coverage. Heck, you might even consider the 8 bulb, which only comes in powermodule form. If you have any low light corals I'd be fine with a 6 bulb, then you could keep the low light stuff on the sand at the outer edges of the tank. But if you're going for an SPS tank, the 8 bulb might be better. It just depends on your coral placement choices.
