Is Vodka Dosing benneficial to Soft Corals?

All I have read about Vodka dosing talks about SPS corals and little if any speaks of soft corals...Whatcha think?

Vodka dosing helps eliminate nutrients from your water column. That will get rid of nuisance algae, and help maintain healthy conditions. So, yes dosing Vodka will help with soft corals. You just notice it more with SPS, because they color up a lot better.

it will improve over all conditions of your tank, just make sure you have a good skimmer

I do not have data for ethanol as in vodka, but acetate (as in vinegar) can be used by corals directly, via the zoox using the carbon source, so they may also benefit for that reason. Ethanol may be used similarly.

In addition, table sugar (sucrose) and glucose have a similar effect as acetate on zooxanthellae, and can also be used as a carbon source.

I use both.

Why do we used Vidka for. What it will do to my aquarium.
