T5 fixtures at lowes
I'm putting together a algae scrubber & was going to use 24" T5 fixtures from lowes for my lights. When I went to get them I noticed they said 14w bulbs not included. Our aquarium
24" bulbs are 24w right. So is this a problem, or can I use there fixtures with our bulbs? |

Nope, those are the NO (normal output) and ours are HO (high output), they should fit and light up but will not be correctly burned and might result in a need to be changed faster. Hope that helps.

it will be a problem 1st off you will need a new ballast for 24W bulbs as well as the reflectors on that light i am sure are not as good as the reflectors on an reef aquarium fixture. It will be cheaper to just buy a quality fixture the first time.
