Bleaching Brain

I've got an open brain coral (round) that has about a 1/8 section bleached white. I think it happened because the coral was in contact with an aptasia and I was slow to notice it. I killed the little bugger but I think the bleaching section is getting larger (think a slice out of a pizza as that's what it looks like). I'm not sure what to do and am wondering if I should dip it, cut the bleached section out or use it as a frisbee. Any ideas?

dont use as a frisbee yet. how long ago did it happen? it may live and do just fine. i have had some pretty banged up corals and 70% of them live. cutting it will not do much good, maybe make it worse. i dont know about dip. JMO

i say move the spot its at to a little more flow, and start direct feeding it more. if it still is bleaching, a revive dip would help.

Agree, the extra water flow could be enough to bring back the dying tissue.

OK, I'll give that a shot. Thanks. In your experience, have you seen a coral partially bleach and grow tissue back over the bleached area?
