Snail Help

I was going to order some cerith snails but have heard form some locals they don't ship well. I'm looking for some snails to work over the sand bed. I already have nassaris and astreas. Looking to diversify. Whats the deal with the ceriths?

I ordered some ceriths (both dwarf and regular) from reefcleaners.org which is based in Florida, and I live in California. Only a couple died in transit (but the company appears to ship extra and also has an arrive live guarantee), and I ordered quite a few. Considering the price one pays online compared to what is charged at the stores, the loss is inconsequential in monetary terms.

I also bought some dwarf and florida ceriths from reefcleaners.org. For the most part they did fine shipping. The I had a couple florida ceriths die but he sent extra so it worked out. The dwarfs seem to do a little better for some reason. Ceriths are an awesome part of any clean up crew and i recommend them.. and for the price you can't go wrong at reefcleaners.org

I agree ceriths are a good mix in the cleanup crew. Ive had success with LA and reef2go.com.

From what I can tell, the dwarf ceriths do a great job, maybe even better than the regular ones since they get into places where the larger ones can't. As Flavordsm mentioned, I noticed the dwarf ceriths do better in terms of shipping as well.
