Do pre-made concrete blocks need to cure before going in reef?

I was planning on making reef pillars of live rock using rods and concrete blocks as a base. I will be using actual live rock, not dead base rock, will the concrete blocks need to cure before being used do you think? Thanks!

Frank

yes, depending on the origin of the block they might need to be sealed in resin as well. Different blocks are made of different things.

I would say yes. I know when people make DIY rock they have to let it cure for awhile before putting it in the tank.

Thanks, yes I knew that part, that freshly made cement needed to cure. I just wasn't sure if cement that was already made awhile ago still needed to go through the process? Anyone have experience with this?
