braking down my tank
how do i store the rock in my tank to use it a a later date

I am breaking down my old tank too.I used a powerhead ,a heater, and water from my old tank.

it depends do u want it live or dead?
if dead dry it out in the sun for a couple of days and put it a rubber maid containor if u want to keep it alive i would 1 buy containor 2 clean containor 3 fill with old tank water or aged saltwater 4 add a header 5 add a large pump to push water or a couple power heads 6 put a lid on it you will lose the coraline and other colorful alages if ther is no light may want to think about that. make soure u have a nice lid or else topoff will be a pain. hopw this helps |

If your only taking a few months, I would get the container listed above and keep a light on the rock.

No need to keep them under light. A power head for aeration and a skimmer to prevent ammonia build up from decaying matter. JMO
