GSP closed for 4-5 days now.

My green star polyps have been closed for 4-5 days now, is this normal? They do this; they're open for a period of days and then they're closed for another amount of time. They don't look like they're dying, they still have their very dark purple color.

Water parameters are good, running carbon, timely WCs, what do you think?

I haven't had mine closed for that long, but last week they were closed for a couple of days after I moved my rocks arounds and disturbed them. All of them were closed for about 24 hours. On day #2 about half of them were open and by the end of day #3 all of them had completely opened again.

ive had them close for 2.5 weeks, but this was due to a bad acclimation from my old tank to my new. either way they are still alive

They can pout a lot when they're first put in a tank until they get totally acclimated, which can take weeks/months. Pristine water quality does not seem to be a real necessity for GSP (IME), and they don't seem to need the best lighting either.
FWIW,
Mariner

Yeah, they seem to be easy corals to keep. They don't seem to be dying and my water quality is not that bad, I think.

I had a spaghetti worm grow right through a large patch i have and figured that was the issue with it just not opening up at all for over a month. I added 2 vortechs to my tank and bam It woke up and started to spread massively. Can't even see the worm now lol. Make sure you have some decent flow around the gsp.
