salt and zeovit
For those that are running zeovit, or other probiotic systems, what salt mix are you using. As I recall, you want to use a salt mix whose alkalinity is ~7-8. Thanks

This post has a roundup of alk levels in salt mixes:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh....php?t=1714505 That said, I see little reason to worry about the starting alkalinity level. Assuming you have a reasonable number of hard corals and coralline algae, the alkalinity will almost immediately be controlled by the demand and the additions, and not the starting salt mix. People seem to overestimate the effects of alk in a salt mix. A 10% water change with an 11 dKH mix with a tank at 7 dKH only boosts the alkalinity to 7.4 dKH, a boost whiich is smaller than most folks add daily.

I use Tropic Marin Pro Reef salts, seem to be pretty balanced, of course zeovit.com recommends Reefers Best Salts, which is expensive... for sure, and with zeovit, they recommend weekly water changes with zero tds.
