Question Phosphate: 0 and Nitrate: 0. Cheato doing this?

My tank has been running for about one year now. My Phosphate and Nitrate are both at 0 (2 test kits) and I have done absolutely nothing to achieve that. In fact, im getting ready to dose Vodka but I still have no need to.

My question is. Could my cheato be absorbing all the phos and Nitrate? I have a ton of it in my sump.

I don't have too much "load" in my system yet, so maybe it's still to clean to produce any phos and Nitrate?

It's a 125 with a 33G sump, 175-190lbs LR, two 5" tangs, 4 chomis, 1 fire fish, 2 clowns, 1 x-mass Wrass, BTA, 2 leathers, 2 feather dusters, Frog Spawn, and 2 other corals (not sure what they are). 5% weekly water chages.

thx,
Ray
