Suggestions for next fish
I have a 75 gallon with a 33 gallon sump. Tank has been running for about 4 months. The only fish I currently have are a pair of Black Clowns. I am looking for advice on another nice reef safe addition.
I also have a nice mix of soft corals. So just wondering what some of your favourite fish are. Thanks |

Wrasses are always a good choice, there are many different types and colors and they don't require any special needs.

+1 I love wrasses, plus they are harder to introduce later in the life of the tank IMO. Seems as they stress pretty easy or are easily run off by other fish in an existing setup. |

Are some wrasses more aggressive then others? Are there any to steer clear of? I thought I remember reading that the 6 lines can be nasty. I may be totally wrong though.
Any particular wrasses anyone would recommend? |

I have a six line and he is a model citizen as long as he isn't too hungry, Every now and then he will nip at a hermit crab.

My Sixline Wrasse is also a model citizen and is always out and about. If I didn't have any shrimp, I would definitely get a Flame Hawk.

I have 2 blood shrimp so I guess a flame hawk is out of the question. I am going to look more into the wrasses. I also may look into a royal gramma or something similar.
Any other suggestions are welcome. |

If you only have softies you'd PROBABLY be okay adding a flame or coral beauty angel but they both somewhat limit your future coral additions.... in a 75 you could do a group (3 or maybe even 4) of anthias, 1 male(in case you didn't know that) and 2 or 3 females, very cool schooling fish IMO, very mellow & totally reef safe....

I do like the angels but I don't want to limit myself down the road as far as corals go. I want to make sure everything I add is totally reef safe. I will eventually upgrade my lighting and will have some LPS and perhaps SPS. My lighting is currently a 4x54 watt T5 set up which is ok for now, but that will be my next major upgrade.
What kind of corals do the angels tend to nip at? As far as the anthias go...do they have a heavy eating schedule? I remember reading that they need to eat 4 times a day? Thanks for the responses. Also, I would love a Tang but I know that a 75 gallon is not ideal for them. |
