Anemone for clown help
After a month, my tank parameters are in order. I killed the last bubble anemone either due to water or feeding.
The orange bubble anemone would only hang on the wall so I had a hell of time feeding it. It wouldn't eat silver sides or I found out I might have been feeding too much. I never tried cutting it down to 1/2 or 1/4. Tried shrimp but the clowns would pull it out and the shrimp fell b/c the BTA was hanging on wall. Research also suggest my lighting could have been the reason why. I had only 250 watts of PC lighting for a 31 inch tank. I like the blue carpet but can't find them and the price is sky high. Any other suggestion?? I would like an anemone that stays on a rock or substrate.

How old is the tank (how long up and running)?
Anemones should only be attempted in a very mature (6 mos to 1 year) stable system...... |

Tank is 21 months old. Everything was fine but I started fishing a lot more so I neglected the tank

Haddoni carpet anemones stay in the sand as they are a sand dwelling anemone. Gigantea carpet anemones are a rock dwelling anemone. Both get very large and can eat fish. They require at least T5HO or MH. I would not do any anemone with PC lights.

Anemones require pristine water conditions, intense lighting, and good flow. There is no future for an anemone in a tank that has been or will be neglected. Lighting and flow take little effort. Pristine water conditions require commitment.

forget anemones. get something easier like green star polyps. clowns will host in whatever they feel like.
