Can I move rock from one tank to another?

This is probably a dumb question but, can I take a couple of pieces of rock from the sump of one of my reef tanks and put it in my other reef tank? Neither tanks have worms, aptasia, or any pests that I am aware of.

Don't be sorry. Most people don't ask until the disaster has occurred. I too move rocks all the time.
