Smile Live rock walls/sides in a fish tank.

I am coming back to this hobby. Missed it for a little too long now. So this time i am thinking of doing a 90 or 75 inwall. Still waiting for finals to end on wednesday so i can get down to getting this started. I will make sure to post pics...

So i had this idea about concreting the back and sides with concrete so it can sooner or later start looking like live rocks. Doing some research, this works just as good as live rocks if done right , with porous holes and sand. There a mention about this in 3reef

at http://www.3reef.com/forums/live-roc...eer-67852.html

So does anyone know much about this? Care to educate or point me in the right direction?

I figured this is kinda a filtration topic, as live rocks areee...so i threw it in here. Mods please feel free to move if need be.

I would search the DIY forum for foam rock wall or similar.

Many have done what you are describing using eggcrate covered in foam with real rock embedded and even coated with sand.

I didnt want to go for the rock wall look, but many have done so with great results.

As for in wall, I would recommend front access, at least on top for cleaning. (I had no choice with this installation location).

Wowww !!! That looks amazing. So it's a in wall but not an inwall. I like the canopy, where did you find a huge canopy that size?

I did a little research, and came up some ideas. I might go bigger maybe 125.
